P90X2 Day 30

Took my pictures a day early due to me being out of town tomorrow. I made it through December without missing a day. :) So far P90X2 has been very different. A lot of balance and core exercises. I was skeptical at first when I started that this wasn't as hard but I definately was challenged the more I challenged myself to do better on my worksheets than the weeks before. I completed 4 weeks of Foundation, I am currently on a recovery week and will begin Strength when I get back from being out of town this week, which seems more like P90X with the Chest, Back, Shoulders, Arms workouts. I found myself improving my balance significantly over the 4 weeks and improved greatly in my yoga flexibility and balance which I even impressed myself on moves I didn't think I would ever be able to do I can do. Here is what hasn't worked for me: My diet. Starting in December it is so hard to do with all this food you are surrounded with. I struggled. I was pleased that I didn't gain any weight but today I weigh 145.5, I believe I could have weighed a lot less if it wasn't for the stress of the holidays, the rush of working in retail and eating when you can. I was disappointed in myself in regards to how I coped with stress and food. I am looking forward to a new month where I need to maintain my calorie intake to be no more than 1300 as I am only maintaining from 1300-1600. Above 1600 I will gain weight. It can be so frustrating. I didn't count calories via the app on the phone and may not need to but I am definately counting in my head of when I can and can not eat more. I have only 5.5lbs before I meet my goal that I set for myself on Feb 20th of last year. I am hoping I can meet that goal by then as it will be my 1 year beachbody anniversary and it a big accomplishment of mine. I look forward to seeing what the next 30 days of workouts will be like and hopefully the pounds will continue to come off. I donated 80% of my clothes which were too big and I couldn't fit into. I tried on every piece of clothing in my closet last week and felt great that nothing was too small but all too big. The last thing is I find that I have loose skin on my legs and stomach, its kind of weird but I guess it will tighten over time??? Well here are my pictures, I don't look like I just woke up so that is an improvement over last time. ;P.

  1. Congratulations on completing the first phase... I am going to stay here for another three weeks (five in total) before taking my week of recovery. I have been diligent with my diet and have lost 9.2 pounds so far... can't wait to see what the next three weeks have in store for me.

  3. Grats on the first 30 days of P90X2. I have been waiting to see what you thought of it. I seen bits and pieces of it, I must admit, when I seen the clips I thought "oh shiz"...but we will see, still deiciding if continuing with P90x or starting a round of P90X2 is the way to go.

    And as for you skin question, I read it all tightens up, even quicker with regular exercise.
