P90X2 Day 90

Today wraps up P90X2, I extended the program by 3 weeks as I was trying to master the moves before I moved on, which I found that extra week I was able to do most moves that I couldn't even try on week 1. P90X to me was really Core Synergistics, sporatic Plyometrics and balance postures in my opinion. The biggest changes I personally noticed was when I was doing Yoga and how long I could remain in those positions and being able to do moves I hadn't been able to do in the first 3 rounds of P90X. I enjoyed the PAP Routines more than most of the program as with no breaks, it kept your heart rate up. Overall my favorite workouts were X2 Balance & Power, Base & Back, PAP Lower and believe it or not Yoga X2. This yoga was so much better than the first one in P90X so I had to appreciate it, honestly being 30 min shorter helps :) however my arms/legs are on fire at the mid mark. So what didn't go so well for me was the eating. Here is what I learned, I completely understand why during the holidays the average person gains 1 pound of fat. I never missed a day of working out but I can honestly say I missed days where I would eat clean, let me rephrase that, I would eat clean but my portions were too much. This was something I learned in my first round of P90x, that its great to change how you eat, but it is important to note how much you eat. When I noticed that I was having a portion problem, I re-enrolled in United Health Care's coaching calls. It is so helpful to talk to someone about what you are struggling with and what you have to do over the next few weeks to ensure that you change course. The results aren't as drastic as I would like. In the last 30 days I went from 141 lbs to hitting my goal weight at 140 pounds to rising back up and back down and currently weigh 143 lbs, I believe that this is also contributed to water weight fluctuations, but I can honestly say it was the portion sizes that were getting the best of me. My arm definition has improved over the last 90 days and my stomach has tightened a little but still tons of lose skin is still there and my inner thighs. I have been using a skin firming lotion to help speed the process. I guess it will just take time. I am going to try a different beachbody workout, which arrived in the mail yesterday. I am doing a round of Insanity and will be starting on April 8th. This program is 60 days long and is primarily cardio, I am hoping I won't lose a ton of muscle mass by doing only cardio but I want to try something different hopefully to break this plateau I am in. So now begins my week off, where I get to eat things without the guilt and the give my body a break.
